Pre-K and Kindergarten Vaccinations and Screenings

Rising Pre-K and Kindergarten students are required to have screenings and/or vaccinations prior to the start of school. The Glynn County Health Department offers these services for students. Below are the hours for the Glynn County Health Department:

  • Mon-Wed: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (closed 12-1)
  • Thu: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (closed 12-1)
  • Fri: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Closed the last business day of each month for staff training
  • No appointment needed

Kindergarten Registration

All rising Kindergarten students are required to register for the 2025-2026 school year (even if he or she attended Pre-K ). Please stop by school with a driver’s license and proof of address (water bill, power bill, lease, etc.) to register your child. The office is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am-3:30 pm. Thank you!

  • We offer a range of programs, including special education, English language development, gifted education, and counseling services to support diverse student needs.

  • Safety is our top priority. We have secure campus entry points, regular emergency drills, and on-site staff trained in emergency response. Our visitor management system ensures that all guests are signed in and monitored.

  • Our elementary school day typically begins at 7:50 a.m. and ends at 2:20 p.m., with after-school programs available for families needing extended care. Breakfast is served in the school cafeteria from 7:15 to 7:45 am.

  • If your child is new to Glynn County Schools, please visit Central Registration at 5505 Altama Avenue in Brunswick, GA, to register. You will then proceed to Glyndale Elementary to complete the registration process. 

  • Get involved in your child’s education by joining the Glyndale PTA! Join us at Open House to find out more.

  • Technology is integrated to enhance learning, with resources such as interactive Promethean boards, Chrome Books,  and educational software that support students' digital literacy and engagement.

Glyndale Elementary School will address social, emotional, and academic aspects of students’ lives through exploration, critical thinking, and grit. This will inspre students to serve, lead, and grow into productive and well-rounded citizens.

At Glyndale Elementary, our dedicated team of educators and staff work collaboratively to create a community of learning that fosters student growth and teaches students to become independent thinkers. Teachers and staff set high standards of instruction, collaboration, and student engagement. We understand that every student is unique, and our goal is to provide personalized pathways that support each learner’s academic and personal growth.

As we embark on another school year, we are excited about the opportunities ahead. Our focus on academics, student accountability, and developing life-long learners reflects our commitment to preparing students for success in a rapidly changing world.
